Reliance ADAG forays into music and movie distribution biz

Reliance Entertainment (to be eventually named BIG Entertainment) is expanding its business by foraying into music and movie distribution through Big Music and Home Entertainment respectively.

Big Music has two major upcoming movies under its label and expected to have four more in coming months. It is also marketing the music of the movies through Big FM.

Big Home Entertainment could fit well into the company’s existing businesses of Adlabs (Multiplex, post-production), Synergy (news and other content), Big Flicks (online DVD rental) and planned ventures for DTH and IPTV.

Initially BIG Music will be sold worldwide, while BIG Home Entertainment will be available only in India. via
