DLF RetailTo cash in on the retail revolution of India, DLF wants to have an upper slice of the cream. The company plans to build huge malls in the Tier I cities of India.

For this initiative, DLF has tied up with Tata’s retail business ‘Trent’ and German company ‘Metro’.  For the entertainment basket, it would expand its own multiplex retail chains, DT Cinemas.

DLF is incidentally also building India’s largest mall in India called ‘Mall of India’ in Gurgaon which has a size of 32.87 acres and lettable area of 4 million square feet.

But the concern remains, is there enough appetite in the Indian market to make such big retail ventures feasible.
