Bharti Enterprises is aiming to join the ranks of other Indian conglomerates by unveiling its vision 2020 along with a new identity and logo, which incidentally is its third change since inception.

Bharti currently derives 80% of revenues from telecom and aims to reduce this share to 50% in 5 years by growing its other businesses such as financial services, retail and agri-business in partnership with Axa, Walmart and Del Monte respectively.

The new Bharti logo has arrowheads pointing in different directions symbolising diverse businesses. Its indigo blue colour signifies depth and orange colour signifies passion and energy.

Bharti was among the first company to take advantage of the growth in telecom industry. And with the business gaining scale and stability, it has shifted focus to other businesses especially those in which it perceives growth.

However it would be time before Mittals could be counted among the likes of Tatas, Birlas and Ambani as it is still not existent in the brick and mortar industries such as metal, oil, automobiles, constructions and all industries in which the latter groups has grown their business with.
