The Reliance – ADAG groups is making its foray into organising large format live events through their company, Adlabs Films under a new banner ‘Big Live’.
The group will mainly organise sports and entertainment events rather than managing sports personalities. The company is also not expected to bid for a T20 team at IPL being organised by BCCI as reported earlier.
The move may work out to be paying for ADAG as this segment is witnessing good audience considering sports is now witnessing increased audience due to certain recent success by Indian players.
Earlier, another media giant, TV18 also ventured into the event management business.
Another lucrative scenario for ADAG could be if it scales up its sports entertainment biz then it could well turn out to be a very likely contender for getting the rights to hold events at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. This may include the organising the Opening and Closing ceremonies and also other events during different matches. via

It is a great move by Reliance money to get into live sports entertainment. An event management Co by ADAG group would get some of the most exciting events we can think off. We are waiting.
