It has samsung app store to purchase other apps. it has an ethernet port and lot of apps.. Netflix, YouTube, hulu to name a few. The next model 6400 even has the wifi. | ||||

| @labnol panasonic viera. Totally worth the money. just that sony Samsung … all these are like big brands for indians.but Panasonic justifies every buck I pay. Had 1 for 3 years | ||||
| @labnol Samsung led backlit lcd tvs are known to be very good especially 7 series and higher. Sony has the best processing engine (bravia). If doing side by side comparisons in stores, tune all options yourself. Stores often badly tune some TVs to increase 1 brand’s sales. Samsung and Sony stand out for me. Bravia for integration with other Bravia products, Samsung coz they make their own screens. | ||||
| @labnol Sony Bravia series is good one, if you plan to go for 40 to 46 inch. | ||||
| @labnol If you have hi-def .mkv movies to play, Sony is not for you. Samsung 6 series is good. In Sony consider http://bit.ly/joRbsP | ||||

| @labnol if you’re looking to avoid the 3D, get the Sony Bravia EX520 series. Inbuilt Skype, Opera Mini browser, YouTube, twitter n Facebook. the Sony EX520 is wifi enabled, you attach a dongle and you’re good to go. Am a pretty happy customer since March. the dongle btw is a tiny usb wifi receiver – If you already have one at home, that’ll work. Sony one comes with an extendable cable. You can choose to go wired but for inbuilt wireless, you’ll have to goto higher end models which will also do 3D n hence, pricey. Sony also has iOS/Android apps – avoids the numerical keypad typing when browsing/tweeting from tv. Only pain – DTH box has no apps | ||||
