Programmers at University of California San Diego have created ‘Sneakey’, an application that converts a digital image of a key to an exact physical replica.
Like an OCR, Sneakey analyzes a digital image of a key from any angle to measure the depth of each cut and computes a bitting code, which locksmiths use to make duplicate keys.
For instance, the Sneakey team successfully decoded this key image that was taken from a four storey building at an acute angle.

Thankfully, they are not releasing Sneakey to the public. (Thanks Read Write Web)
