Xeni Jardin gets her iPhone unlocked from one of the authors of iPhone Hacks. The trick is easy and can even be used to unlock and jailbreak an iPod Touch.
Jailbreaking may void the iPhone warranty but since downgrading the firmware of your iPhone is also fairly simple, the warranty factory should not be a concern anymore. Thanks Sara Peyton for the video.

read your blog regularly , unfortunately this is stale stuff. iphone unlocking has been around for last 6 months. for a more simple jailbreak and unlock check link . you can Jailbreak and unlock an iphone in 5 minutes. Works till version 1.1.4 though . waiting for 1.2.

iphone 3g is a good phone and I think it should produce it’s unlocked version to India soon. As India being one of the largest mobile users in the world so iphone has the most drawback to it’s rivals here due to it’s unavailablity of unlocked phones, and I guess in most part of the world too have the same problems. Most people anyway in most part of the world use gel braking and unlocking method to use the phone on their local sim, and it’s a big loss to iphone company itself I guess.
