After Vodafone, Apple has signed an iPhone distribution deal with Bharti Airtel through Singapore Telecom.
Airtel is expected to sell iPhone in India at the same time as Vodafone UK according to this brief press release from Singtel.
"SingTel, Bharti Airtel, Globe and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Singapore, India, the Philippines and Australia later this year." Link.
No company is willing to talk about the price of iPhone in India yet but the phone should be cheaper than unlocked phones that are quite a raze among Apple fan-boys in India.
This news also confirms that Apple is not looking to limit itself to one carrier when selling iPhones outside the US. Good for consumers.
