The google webmaster tool setting is having an option for choosing the domain name as http://www.domain_name and without www. Please let me know which is the best suitable option and why.

WWW.domain name or without WWW, which is beneficial for SEO.

Since your site is with WWW you can select the same option in google webmaster. Then it will show your URL with WWW in SERPs. There are no SEO differences between www domain and non www domain address as far as I know.
