   Somebody posted comment on my blog saying that he filed against me under DMCA for Copyright Violation.
   What is DMCA for Copyright Violation? Where to file? and get Appeal.

   DMCA means Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
   Did you copied content from somebody's site?

   Giving credit is not the solution all the time.
   If you want to quote a part of any article or something, first go through the 'copyright and fair use T&C' of that site/blog.
   Going through Creative Commons site (http://creativecommons.org/) will help you to understand things.

   Now when you have copied the content, best thing is to remove it immediately from your site and ask for apology (to the owner of content). Usually a polite mail do the job. :)

   There is a simple way to get rid of it......Just remove the content without having any second thought in your mind.

   Better still - just use a short excerpt from the original article and link to it.

   This will benefit your readers as well as the content creator.

   Taking short excerpts with credit generally comes under Fair Use.
