    I am from India and want to buy a laptop for blogging. Which laptop should I buy and what should I look for when buying.

    Do you have a budget ?

    Any laptop that can send email is good enough as a blogging laptop.

    My favorite is the Dell Inspiron or the Dell Vostro series.

    A Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with Core 2 Duo, 3 GB of RAM and a 15.4" screen should be a good option.

    Thanks for the info. What do you think of Compaq or HP? I've heard that Compaq is a bit cheaper and would cost something around Rs.33,000.

    I am using Compaq Presario V3000 since last 8 months and am satisfied with it. 40K is enough to buy you a good laptop.
    When it comes to performance, I think Ram is the deciding factor. As Amit Sir suggested, 3Gb RAM is fine (infact 1Gb is ok)

    Why dont you go for a desktop. You will get more power for your budgetted ammount
