   personally I found that adsense is THE best...after that probably you can go for networks like widgetbucks that pay on CPC(US, UK based publishers) and CPM(other publishers)... here is a nice review for some of the Adsense Alternatives

   AdSense itself can offer good CPM provided you cover the right niche and have good traffic + content.
