Help. I have a video of the end credits of a movie. These appear on the right hand side of the screen and on the left hand side is a music video that I like very much. How do I get rid of the rolling credits and make the video full screen / Thanks

TMPGEnc is the best option available
Link: http://www.tmpgenc.net/en/e_main.html
Start TMPGEnc and open the video file
next choose video file format NTSC/PAL
click next Browse to choose the video file
click next select clip option
click next you will get the preview of the video
here you need to change the amount of video you want to clip from right side or top, bottom and left to kind of center the portion of screen you want to capture. Adjust the values at the bottom and click OK.Now you can encode the video and get the portion of the video you like so much
I hope this helps

TMPGEnc sounds like a commercial software. You may want to try VirtualDub that's free as in beer and has filters for resizing videos, cropping, etc.

TMPGEnc is now a shareware and has a free trial, but I agree with Amit, VirtualDub is free, so it is a better longterm option.

Here is the link to a video tutorial that shows you how to use VirtualDub for cropping the video.
