Hi Susie !
Is there any particular plugin or translation service that you're trying to embed within your site?
The one here with the flags :)

Just to add I want to put it on a website not a blog :)
Well...I'm not certain if that code still works, and since your site is NOT based on any particular blogging platform, you'll need to edit the code on EVERY page of your website manually.
Follow the instructions here - http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/11/add-google-translation-flags-to-your.html
and add the code to EVERY page you want to have translated. Note that links placed on a translated page will then be displayed in the language of choice when clicked.
mm that takes you to the google translate page - I was looking for something that translates the page and doesn't direct you away from the website?
Susie: Also take a look at the code for the widget(s) on this page - http://www.madtomatoe.com/google-translate-mini-flags-widget/
But the translated content will be only what you display on your site...so the user will still be browsing thru what you've chosen to display only in a language of their choosing.
ok I get it - Thanks very much for your help, its just what I wanted :)
I am using iWeb to create my website. I have tried to add both the Google translation widget and the Yahoo (Bablefish) code, but they don't seem to work for me. When I go to my website and click on the flag to translate, a new page opens with nothing on it except the Google or Bablefish icon. Any ideas?
