I am looking for an alternative to task manager. I see a lot of talk about Process Explorer. Is it good? Will it release memory from trumped up programs. (I think that is what I mean ;))

Is the free version of Anvir Task Manger I think is called a worthy program. I used the one from Free Download a Day until I had to reinstall windows. NO no activation key.
    Thanks

Task Managers are about viewing and controlling individual tasks and the processes that comprise them.

Don't expect them to function like Memory Managers that will free up RAM. Process Explorer is incredibly powerful and it has an added benefit of being able to be recalled by the CTRL-ALT-DEL combination in essence becoming a complete replacement for the default Windows Task Manager. Highly recommended if you're a power user. Else, stick with what you've got.
