Tags:

  1. Hello Indian bloggers, is there any one here who is a student in US on F1 visa and blog using adsense? I know that one should not do it if he or she intends to stay in US in future (greencard). I was just wondering anyone knows deep about it or atleast comment on it.
    Thanks.

  2. I don't the restrictions related to F1 visa but why would it it stop you from running a blog integrated with AdSense.

As far as I know, most students from homepages on their university servers ? How is a blog different from any other website ?

  3. Hello Amit,
Its not the blog or website that is the problem. Its the income generated. When u make money other than ur college assistantship, the company such as google reports to IRS the earning I made. That will be also sent to US immigration and so when u apply for a green card, they look into all ur records and since u violated the rule that u should not have a business on F1 or H1, ur GC application be rejected. I wanted to know if any one have the same question or have answers to this question.
    Thanks.

  4. John,

So why don't you set your adsense account in India.
the revenue what you will earn will be sent to India & there is no way embassy will have a problem with that as you didn't do nothing wrong on US land. hows that ?

  5. Hello Pawan,
I know about that, but isn't that a violation of the google code that says no activity in US and everything should be from India? I might be wrong. Please clear it.
    Thanks.
