   i think you should have some anti virus software, otherwise your computer easily get attected .
   the invest is not much, but it sure will give you safty.

   Windows Defender is more anti-spyware than anti-virus.

   I suggest you opt for Microsoft Security Essentials instead. You can always use a free antivirus like Avira, AVG Antivirus etc. too.

   You definitely need anti-virus software, I also use Microsoft Security Essentials.
