sending new Blog post information or link to multiple addresses

I have a blog on Blogger and every time there is a new post, I need to send information/link of the same to about 1000 potential readers who may have interest. I may need to send this info not only to those who have evinced interest but also to other potential readers. Depending upon the topic covered in the post, this may change.

I find it very difficult to send this info on new posts with the email facility available on the Blog. First of all, the new captcha enry is extremely difficult to decipher and one has to really strain to make out the letters.

Secondly, at a time, one could send to only about 8 to 10 times i.e. about 80 to 100 addresses.

is there any freeware or other possiblity to do this, without having to use my own email address?

I think you are suggesting of spamming your blog posts to thousands of emails using email lists.. If that is the case i suggest please please don't do it..If your site is worthy users will normally reach you using search engines.. and they may comeback if your blog is worthy of that..

no, i do not mean spam from random email lists.

these are email addresses of ppl who might have a genuie interest.
at the same time, they are not going to look around searching all the time without kmowing what to search for. the blog is updated frequently and every time the topic is different. thats why different ppl may have interest for each post.

Umm..that's what RSS is used for. If your readers subscribe to your blog's feed, they'll be updated whenever a fresh post is put up. Also, RSS feeds are inherently opt-in, so push your users to use it *if* they wish to stay updated.

somewhere i think i have not been able to explain.

what i mean is that there are certain number of people who may well subscribe to rss/atom.
but depending upon the topic, there will always be a <b>new</b> set of ppl to whom the post needs to be informed.
so simply said, i need a software or some other utility which will enable me to send out the intimation. then naturally it would be up to the people who receive the intimation to peruse the post or not.

Yes, but what @bloggerwidgets and I are trying to put across is that if you email someone *without* their permission (meaning, they haven't opted-in to receive your emails), you run a risk of being labeled an "unsolicited commercial email" sender or to put it plainly - a spammer.

In any case, here's a blog post which lists a number of WordPress plugins that might have the functionality that you're looking for. At first glance, couldn't find anything directly meant for Blogger. :-( Sorry.

UPDATE: Looking at the SETTINGS within Blogger, I came across this:

Click SETTINGS > EMAIL & MOBILE and in the EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS field, you can add up to 10 email addresses that you'd like notified of blog updates.

You can add more people by creating a mailing list in Google Groups or Yahoo Groups and adding that new group address as one of the update addresses in Blogger. Convoluted, but it might be what you're looking for.
