Hello
Probably a basic question but I would like to copy old video from my old camera (hi8) on a pc !
I have 3 plugs (ref, blank, yellow) and also a s-video on the camera.
Do I need some special software on my pc ?
Many thanks for help

Yes..you'll need a video capture card. If this is a one-time occurence, it might be better to have the conversion to digital format done by a professional. It's also time consuming, because the entire video will have to be played back in real time, so it can be captured and then digitised.

Thanks !
The fact is that I have a lot of old tapes . . .
So perhaps better display on a monitor and film directly from the monitor with a digital camera . . . I'll loose quality but it will go faster !

Its better you require a professional video digitizer.

I think a good video converter can be the answer.

You need video input hardware to do it.
