I am using this flash drive with an imac, and even though I have deleted all items to make room for new stuff, the Cruzer is still telling me it is full. How can I fix this?

First, empty the TRASH - when you delete files even off the flash drive, they're stored in a special system folder on the drive itself. That might be the easiest recourse.
If you're certain that you don't require ANY of the data on the flash drive, then you might try formatting the drive. If you want the flash drive to run on other PCs - Windows / Linux etc, remember to format it as FAT or FAT32 and not NTFS or MacOSExt. If you have another machine to test it out, insert the flash drive into a separate machine and check to see whether it really is filled up as your iMac claims or there's any discrepancy.
