  1. Hello everyone,
I've been using firefox for a long time. But from the past few days there is some 1 inch bar (blank space) being displayed below the status bar.
    Please help me removing it.
Check out the screen shot here:

I think that's due to some Firefox extension that modifies the status bar (like download status, alexa ranks, foxytunes, Linky, etc)

First see if any update is available for your Firefox extension. Install them.

Then try running Firefox with new profile without extensions (read this article on slow firefox) and see if the problem persists ?

If the problem is removed, your next task is the catch the culprit extension - disable extensions one-by-one and restart Firefox until you catch the one that causing that Gray bar near the status bar.

Did you delete your old profile and install Firefox to a new folder?

The last option I can think of is the Registry.

It's for sure that when you uninstall Firefox, the traces are left behind which are automatically picked up during a fresh install.

Carefully delete all registry keys that are about Mozilla or Firefox. [Slightly risky option though]
