Just an FYI to everyone out there:

I used to be religious about the RSS over at http://feeds.feedburner.com/MicrosoftDownloadCenter which listed the 20 latest updates to the Microsoft Download Center. Unfortunately after months of problems with their feed I decided to create my own feed and archive.

You can find it over at http://www.microsoftpost.com/feed

I use it daily to review what's "New" in Microsoft land and it's also a nice archive for what's been released in the last 12 months.

I have been using the Microsoft Download Center feed for some time now and don't face any issues ?

MrGroove - could you please share the exact problem that encouraged you to create a clone ?

Hi Amit,

I've also been using the RSS feed since probably.... 2003? 2004? Anyway back in April 2008 the feed became very unstable and more than 90% of the time for me it didn't work at all. Looking at the feed right now for instance returns 0 items back from his feed.

After 2 months of instability, I created my own feed and figured I would share it. I like to keep control of my own data (rather than use bloglines...) and I don't like keeping my RSS feeds on a single computer so normally I create private wordpress sites to aggregate feeds I read. And that's where MicrosoftPost.com came from.

I hate RSS bot sites... but after using the site I decided to open it to the public and allow ppl to post comments and search back 12 months.
