   How to install the joomla templates. can one tell me which site will give online guidance for joomla tutorial. thnx in advance

   Joomla template install is pretty straight forward
   when you login to the admin area there will be menu button on top called "installers" which will give you a dropdown menu where you can choose to install templates for admin or site, Languages, Modules, Components or Mambots(plugins). Click "Templates- Site" from the drop down and in the next screen you will get an option to browse and find the template you want, Click upload and install and you are done. Joomla tells you if the install was successful. Most templates you download are zipped and you don't need to unzip them Joomla takes care of unzipping and installing.

   For Templates:
   http://www.bestofjoomla.com (very neat, well organized site, you can pick templates based on filters like 2 or 3 column, license type etc)
   http://www.joomla24.com (huge collection)
   http://www.osskins.com/main/ ( good site with templates for Joomla, Drupal and WordPress)

   thnx kiran...actually i have downloaded few templates to change my default template but while uploading it showing errors, my version of joomla is 1.0.10, i have downloaded 1.0.x templates,but while uploading it showing errors..will plz help me..

   Please tell me the names of the templates you are trying to install also template link if possible. Did you unzip and see the contents some time some templates have to be unzipped as they may have more than one template inside with color variations etc.
   If the templates have to unziped first it will sometime be written in the template name itself.
   Also if you try to modify the template before uploading by removing or replacing logo images and zip it again it might not upload properly and give you error.

   Latest 1.0.x is 1.0.14 any reason why you picked older version

   From joomla24.com only i downloaded the templates but from my site i am not able upload the templates..my hosting site supports version 1.0.10 what i have to do to change my templates..
