    Hi Stella !

    If you're using Windows, then it's easy to get a basi screenshot.

    Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. On some keyboards, it might appear as PrtScrn or some derivative thereof. If you use a laptop, you mihgt have to use a modifier key like "Fn" at the same time.

    Pressing Print Screen takes a screen shot or screen grab and copies it to the clipboard.

    You then need to paste and subsequently save said image in an image editor like MS Paint or IrfanView etc.

    TIP: Pressing ALT+PrtScr copies only the currently active window.

    There are software alternatives that do all of this copying/pasting/saving/naming in just one button push - both freeware and commercial options exist.

    Gadwin PrintScreen is freeware.

    SnagIT retails @ $49.95 USD and is a very popular piece of software amongst power users and pro-bloggers alike.

    If you are looking for free and opensource software try camstudio (http://www.camstudio.org).

    I agree sparx, print screen is the simplest way. for DOS screen you need some effort in this way.
