   Hello Amit,
   I am planning to make a blog regarding Mobile phones. And just like you i want my blog to be registered as .blogspot.com like "labnol.blogspot.com" and i want to host it on wordpress just as you have done. Can you please guide that how can i do so ? I mean step by step?

   It's not a good idea, because yet there are copycats with similar look of labnol. You should consider doing your own unique design.

   I'm not sure why you need to have *blogspot* in the URL and have the blog on running wordpress. Both are two different blogging platforms.

   if you are keen to have 'blogspot' in your URL, go to blogger.com, register a new account and start blogging. The procedures are self explanatory and the blogger forums will help you to resolve issues, if any.

   On the other hand, if you want to start a blog running on wordpress, go to wordpress.com, register a new account and start blogging.

   Hello,
   No its not that way Prakash. See what amit sir has done. His blog is labnol.blogspot.com which clearly indicates that he must be on blogger but its not so ! When you see his source of template you'll find that he's working on wordpress. That means the domain name is of blogspot and the hosting is of wordpress.
   So i want to know that how he has done it!

   Huzef,

   I think there is a bit of confusion here. Digital Inspiration ( labnol.blogspot.com ) and India Inc ( labnol.org) are two different blogs, though both of them looks identical as far as the look and feel are concerned.

   digital inspiration ( labnol.blogspot.com) DOES NOT run on wordpress. OTOH, India Inc runs on a Content Management System ( probably written by amit himself ) similar to wordpress. amit saar will come and clarify, if he feels necessary that is :-)

   PS : In case you want to know the technologies that are used to build a specific website of your interest, use http://www.builtwith.com . ( just type the url and see for yourself)
