   how can one download all the posts of ones blog at the same time and then edit them offline. i know one can use windows live writer, but with it you can download them one by one only

   One way may be to Export All your Posts as an XML file from Tools and Mount the Exported file on a local Wordpress blog Set up In your computer With Wamp / XAMPP. Once you have mounted all your posts in the local Blog Mass Edit them --> Export it again and Mount it in your main blog.

   Be careful : Take necessary DB backups !

   Thanks Amit. But the problem in this process is that you don't get all your image and other uploaded files. The idea is to backup the full blog and edit offline.

   All your images and media will be saved in the wp-content folder, won't it? So, in order to backup all your files - just copy/download all the files in your wordpress folder.
