How do i install wordpress??

I recently had a new domain at http://www.ampercent.com.I want to install wordpress in my site.

I have uploaded all my files in thw www root directory.prior to that i have editerd the wp-config.php file .I have given the DB_NAME,DB_password and DB_HOST but when i open the wp-admin/install.php filein my browser it says an error establishing a database connection.

I am totally new to this wordpress thing.Please help me configuringmy database connection details and installing wordpress.

@Amit: It seems like you haven't started your blog yet. I'd recommend starting from scratch. Here's the official guide. Also, it would help if you gave more details wrt your hosting plan and to check with your provider to ensure that the required modules are installed and configured correctly.
