Which one is better if your platform is wordpress and have Multiple blogs ?
1.Host both the blogs under the same domain but install wordpress separately for each of them
for example :
www.sitename.com as 1st blog address
www.sitename.com/somename as 2nd blog address
2.Host both blogs under different domains ?
I think that we should go with the 1st one but i am not so sure about it.Anybody with any point of view ?

"better" is too vague a term.
Yes - it's better for an admin to have everything on one server and under one domain name. Fewer details/credentials to remember.
No - If there's one thing I do know about monetisation of a blog, it's that having a TLD domain is better than having a sub-domain. It's easier to remember and get users to your site.
