I'm coming to the experts on this one. I hope you can help me (my friend, actually). She had taken many pics on vacation and somehow seems to have lost them. When she told me I told her to stop using the flash card and that I thought maybe the data is still on the card and that the camera just couldn't see it. I asked her to give me all the info she could about the camera, memory and the events leading up to it, and below is her email to me. I hope someone can give us steps to take to try and get the pictures if they exist still. Here's what she wrote:
Okay the camera is brand new I bought it the day before I left for India it is a Canon Power Shot A550
7.1 mega pixels.
I also bought the 'flash card ' brand new as well (the day before I left for India.) The flash card says on it
4GB
Sd
HC
silicon power
I was looking through all my photos deciding on what photos I woudl upload the following day. I had to be somewhere early the next mroinig and realised that my 'clock' had stopped working and that the time on my camera was incorrect. I altered the time on my camera and went to sleep. The next day I turned my camera on and it came up saying 'no image' when i went to play the photos back in the camera.
I then went to an internet cafe and plugged my camera into the compeuter and it said that there was no images to download...
The batteries in the camera are AA duracell
the battery ligth was flashing when I was going to be, but this had happened all the tiem when the batteries were getting low...ummm I am not sure what else..ooo thats right, a good majority of the photos I ahd put the 'protection' option on..
...that's it for her email. Can someone help? Is there a way to find the pics? If she didn't overwrite the card, there's a possibility, right? Many thanks in advance and feel free to email me at ettevroc28@hotmail.com Mike
