   hi amit,
   i have registered a domain name with godaddy for my blogspot blog and i created the cname record as directed in the bloggerhelp with ghs.google.com as host name,the problem is if i type http://www.mydomainname.org opens my blog's homepage but if i type http://mydomainname.org i,e without 'www' it doesn't open my blogpage instead it opens some ads page.wat should i do to direct mydomainname.org to my blogpage.

   There should be a setting in your GoDaddy control panel where you can say "alway use the www. in the domain name"

   Here's what it says in my Dreamhost control panel:

   How do you like the www in your URL?

   1. Both http://www.labnol.org/ and http://labnol.org/ work.
   2. Add "www." if somebody goes to http://labnol.org/
   3. Remove "www." if somebody goes to http://www.labnol.org/

   I obviously use the second option.

   hi amit,
   thanks for the reply.i didn't find any settings as u mentioned above in my godaddy domain control center,but there is an option for domain forwarding with redirect type "301 moved permanently" or "302 moved temporarily".shall i go for this option???i wonder how other godaddy users config there domain names.
