I tried using the search, but it kept spitting back an error.
Why is it that you're looking for site search from this portal? Something wrong with the major players like Google, Live, Yahoo, Ask, etc.?

If it's site search you're looking for, nothing better than Google's Custom Search Engine.
It's quite simple to implement if you follow the required instructions faithfully.

@Dhana: Please get in touch with me off-site.
Let's start with email first.
PHPMyAdmin is only a web UI (user interface) for interacting with your MySQL database(s).
If you have MySQL installed on your server but no PHPMyAdmin, then it's a simple matter of installing it. Getting access to your database obviously means that you need to have access permissions for the same.
If you just want to shift a WordPress blog, I suggest you perform a fresh install of WP; export all the data (posts, comments, etc.) from the existing WP blog using WP's Export feature and then import it all in to the new installation.
That way you start off with a lean and clean database.

You easily add Google's Custom Search Engine and earn good income on search ads.
