This might be a stupid question but is there any way at all of retrieving a message once you have selected Deleted Forever.
I got a message from a contact but it ended up in my Spam folder. I did a "Select All" and then clicked on "Delete Forever". When I was doing this I suddenly realised that one of the emails was from a contact.

Sorry, but a message deleted in GMail from the Trash can is gone forever.
To prevent such accidents in future, run a small check before you empty the GMail Trash or Spam folder.

Yes..its TRUE that if its gone from 'Trash' folder its gone forever, and asked this by gmail people at google..i deleted a mail by accident, than i wrote mail to them for same..in 3-4 days i got reply that "if its gone from TRASH folder it cant be retrieved".
