   Hi,
   I was wondering if anyone here would know of any free converters out there to convert .wmv and .mp4 into .avi, .dat or .mpg format..I'm not too worried about quality but my DVD player cannot play these formats. Rather than upgrading the DVD player I wanted to see if there's anything available that might solve the problem..Thanks in advance.

   Even through VLC media player you can do the conversion.
