   Please help me, which software to use, as I want to put my creativity in various charts, diagrams, alongwith words.

   It should be a handy software and compatible with printers or an option to export as PDF.

   Do you want to use a desktop based charting software or web based ?

   I am a fan of Visio and SmartDraw but for online options, you may want to check out this list.

   Almost all charts can be saved as PNG or JPG images which you can convert to PDF via Zamzar.

   Is it a freeware available for download, I basically need a desktop based application.

   I am not sure of any desktop charting application that's free but you can download trial version of Microsoft Visio Professional or Smart Draw - the software will probably work for 30 days.

   I'll still suggest using some online tool like Gliffy.
