Hi, I am keen to have a Forum on my blog (blogger) which enables visitors of common interest to share / interact / voice concerns and queries. I would like to know how to go about doing this as it requires some amount of hosting service to host a message board, I guess ...

Please let me know the complete step-by-step procedure to enable an easy integration of a forum across any blogging platform ...

    - Thank you

  2. hi.
There is no way to integrate a forum with Blogger.com. :(

If you want to add a forum to your blog the best option would be hosting it @ a sub-domain of your blog-domain ( if you are using "Custom Domain" option of Blogger ).

  3. You could link to a blog hosting service after having created your own forum on their servers. There are free services available - most are ad-supported and come with limited features.

Just do a search for "free forum hosting".

It would help if you narrow down the forum software that you want your forum to run on.

    Invision - http://invisionfree.com
    SMF - http://freesmfhosting.com

Forumer also might be worth checking out.

An additional option would be to create a support group on Google Groups or Yahoo Groups.

Thank you for your responses. This does give me some lead to start off. But, how does this blogger site (labnol.blogspot.com) have a Forum integrated into itself, if it's almost impossible to do so ? I just got curious since I've been grappling with this concern for quite a while ...

    - Thank you

  5. @Sam: This site is actually hosted on a non-blogspot server and is powered by WordPress. The forum software in use here is bbPress which is designed to be integrated with WordPress.

DI (Labnol) started out on blogspot but then made the move over to a self-hosted WordPress installation. The domain name labnol.blogspot.com redirects here, IIRC.
