love labnol and it helped me a tremendously to start my blog recently. But have been unable to install the "number of comments" link button on my blog home to enable visitors to view other comments and type their own after each post.

Have followed all blogger instructions - including inserting a 'tick' in 5 comments on the Blog Post.Page Element>Template - to no avail. Its available at the bottom of the page when individual posts are clicked but there is no link from the home. Am not a programmer - need your help.

Swati - you seem to be on the right track.

To debug, can you try changing your default blog template to something else.

    yes you can try:-
    1) to change the "comments" text to something else like "opinions" and rearrange the post body item blocks.
    2) set "Revert widget templates to default" in Template-> Edit HTML. or revert to classic templates and rollback to widet based templates
    3) Pick a new template.

Though Bloggers says it is out of Beta, it has lot of peculiar bugs.

Thanks - 'Revert widget templates to default' worked - I think it had to do with some html that I pasted earlier about 'Share on Facebook' widget - which has now disappeared.

    cheers!

I had comments enabled when I started my blog as a test. Then disabled it for some time. Now when I have enabled it again, it shows me in the dashboard- all buttons etc as Echo has said. But the comment button is not visible on the site/posts. I have also tried almost everything noted here except changing the template. I did not understand what is meant by:
