   i have a blog in blogger.Now i want to use wordpress.But on blogger i cant use wordpress as there is no file upload option.Now in Google page creator there is File upload option.So i downloaded wordpress 2.5.1 and Opened up wp-config-sample.php and filled in database connection details.I Saved the file as wp-config.php as instructed by the read me file.After that i uploaded everything in my page creator site including all the files in wp-admin,wp-content and wp-includes folders.

   After that i run the wp-admin/install.php file from the wp-admin folder in my browser(as instructed by the read me file)but the installation never happened.

   My question is : Can i use wordpress through googlepages ? or do i need a personal domain for that? if its possible in googlepages then how?

   Hey Amit, You cannot use wordpress in google pages. Google pages supports onlt HTML. it wont support PHP files. Wordpress is PHP based platform u cant do it. You need a separate hosting ( web space) based on PHP, MySQL in a Linux OS.

   Thanks Hemu,you saved me a lot of time.i think i have to buy a domain and then jump with wordpress.In the mean time will it be wise to transfer my blog from blogger to wordpress.?

   and your blog is very informative like digital inspiration.You are doing a great job.

   Hey Amit, thanks. You need to buy Domain+Webspace. That to your Web Space compitable to PHP and MySQL. look at http://www.dreamhost.com. if you want to buy there i will refer you. So that we both get offers from them.
