Hi Mnvamsi,
The AdSense Ads are served by executing a script and the look-n-feel of those Ads can be modified only from the particular AdSense account and a non-premium account probably doesn't show any option to change the font/size of the links/texts displayed in the Ads or any rich options to modify the borders like its thickness, line type, etc.
One can only play with the background/link/text/border colors. And you can change the style of the corners - rounded or square. That's all I guess. Hope the info helps.
Thanks,
Geek

There is no problem in using such borders. But you should not place any image beside the ad or anyother things which will confuse the visitor.
Lets wait for the confirmation of Mr.Amit.

Sorry... I'm no Adsense expert. We'll have to wait for the head honcho to reply to this. :-)

I guess until you have an adsense A/C like Amit's you can't.
Also Amit has an 'upgraded' adsense A/C and not a 'premium' one(Please correct me Amit, if I am wrong .)How I distinguish this is just by hovering mouse over an ad, if the area between Link and URL becomes clickable you can be sure that its a premium account. Big news sites like http://www.nytimes.com/ are some of the examples of premium adsense A/C's.
