    Hi
    I would like to export from Blogger to WP.
    Question:
    1)After I export, will my blogger blog remain? I am worried, what if something goes wrong during export.
    2)I have read that images in Blogger posts are not exported? True, if yes, what is the solution?
    3)In blogger, I use Haloscan for commenting.
    I want to export Haloscan comments to WP and get rid of Haloscan.How and do I need to pay $12 to Haloscan for this?

    Thanks in advance.

    @Nikhil: Exporting any data will only create a copy of the data. Original data remains.

    Read this - Amit's explanation is quite good.

    You're right about earlier versions of WP not importing images embedded in posts. I'm not sure about the current state of things, but if you give this a try, do please write about your experience so others might share and learn from it.

    @Sparx
    I have a dummy blogspot blog.
    Will try if images are moving with that.
    Thanks.

    The images on the WP blog still are stored in blogger.
    How do I move them as well?

    manually or automatically? AFAIK, you're SOL for any automated methods, but then I'm no expert - Amit is... :P

    You might try a site copier like HTTrack to get a copy on your local HDD and then upload to your posts.

    UPDATE: @Nikhil: Just found this plugin for WP that seemingly is just what you're looking for.

    Let us know how well it works...

    You can use Google Picasa Web Albums to download your Blogger photos on the hard-drive.

    Then you can use any FTP client to put them in your WordPress image folder.

    @amit
    Does that mean I will have to link every single image to respective posts?
    Or would it help itself from post id?
    Tnx
