   I'm not a PHP guy, but here's a link to a comparative review. Unfortunately it is 2 years old. :-(

   Still, have a gander and let us know. Are there any particular features that you're interested in or need to have ? Also, are you looking at only freeware or are commercial programs also on the menu? And of course, what platform will the PHP IDE / Editor be running on - Windows / *nix / Mac OS ??

   ActiveState makes good a IDE called Komodo for scripting languages like PERL and PHP. Might want to check them out. A free alternative is Komodo Edit.

   Komodo IDE is an IDE for dynamic programming languages built on the Mozilla platform. It supports dynamic languages, including JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Tcl; framework stacks like Ruby on Rails and CakePHP; and client libraries such as the Yahoo! UI Library and Dojo.

   Komodo Edit inherits many features of Komodo IDE, like the full range of supported languages (Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Tcl) and platforms (Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows ). And like Komodo IDE, Komodo Edit also supports browser-side languages like JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and XML.

   Komodo IDE is available for Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows platforms.

   I suggest you to check new free very nice PHP IDE - http://wwww.codelobster.com
   It has also Drupal, Joomla, WordPress and Smarty plug-ins.

   Hi ,

   Microsoft Expression Web2 is a good to use IDE of PHP...
   You can get great support for customizing wordpress in this IDE...
