I think Gmail doesn't allow you to send attachment of size more than 10MB, moreover I won't advise using emails for sending such large attachments because it might get into a problem at the receiver's end.... better way could be to use some file sharing services like ziddu (btw ziddu gives some money also for uploading and sharing attachments)...you can read more about it here... http://reviewofweb.com/how-to/earn-money-when-you-upload-and-share-attachments/

RapidShare is another very popular option. It has Free Zone as well as Premium Zone. If your uploaded files are downloaded then you collect points which you can redeem for a Premium Account with them. They allow Split archiving as well. Gmail should be fine for a max of 1-2 MB attachments otherwise it starts taking time.

We can attach the large amount of file by compressing in a zip format.Compress can be done in folder or files

A simple zip should help you here. Make sure you don't dll or exe files in the zip and GMail may reject that.

files with .rar extension will also work here..
