I confused about torrents. Is that legal?

In a word - yes. Torrents are legal.
However, what you distribute via the BitTorrent protocol may not be. If it's a movie or software or image that *you* don't ahve a copyright or license to distribute then you're violating the law.
Many linux distributions are spread by BitTorrent - that's perfectly legal. Also, some bands release their music into the public domain and allow it to be distributed by BitTorrent. That's fine. But if you try to download movies, music etc that isn't expressly allowed to be distributed, then you're committing piracy and that's illegal.

it depends on what country you live in. torrents are a grey zone and even in united states they are not prosecuted, comcast tryed to block users from downloading from the torrents and was sued and had to remove the block , so i say download all you want without worry
