   GIFNinja offers to convert a 4 second long vidoe into a GIF compatible for use on forum profile pics.

   As previously described in Amit's post here, Gickr.com also offers a similar service and lets you convert YouTube videos to GIF images.

   If, however, you prefer offline software, here's a step-by-step tutorial describing how to use Microsoft's currently unsupported GIF Animator to get things done.

   Hi, convert video to gif? I use freeware iWisoft Free Video Converter to convert any videos to animated gif or gif. It works well for me. Hope it helps you too.

   u just need a good converter to work for u, and im using pavtube video converter which can help me convert video to lots of image formats , include gif. u can have a try.

   Well, there are loads of software to convert... But most of them generates the gif file which is too large. I converted a 8 seconds video to gif which is about 2.75mb. So I am looking for some gif compressor which can reduce the size to an optimum level say about 200 kilobyte or closer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    you can convert flash video to gif with Moyea swf converter
    it also can convert swf to all kinds of video&audio formats like avi,mp3,wmv,flv etc
