I'm wondering if the position for adsense banner is important in terms of profit. I mean if I put banner in the header it gets 1000 impressions and then relocate the same banner to footer and it gets 1000 impressions what will be the revenue? Let's say there were no clicks but only impressions. I know that some amount is paid for image ads for impressions, so does position matters?
And to extend the question does the size matter? Is square banner 250 x 250 worth more than small square banner 200 x 200 because it takes more place on the site?

Though myself not very clear on this issue, this post might help you a little http://www.labnol.org/internet/design/75-site-visitors-will-not-see-ads-below-the-fold/3097/

@Invest1gator : As far As i know the Revenue doesn't depends on the Position of an ad.For example : If you place the ad on header and get certain clicks (or impressions) and place the same ad in footer and get the same number of clicks(or impressions) you will get equal revenue. The fact is that the position affects the clicks. In header you may get more clicks (thus more revenue)than from footer.
Similarly Size is Not a factor is Terms of revenue. The same ad on Different sizes will Give same revenue. But certain Ad formats perform better than their counterparts.
Tip :Stick to rectangles(300 X 250 or 336 X 280) and Avoid banners.They perform Much better.
I hope i am clear !
