So you need to understand that a person with 2 MBps internet connection will get to see the site earlier than a 256 KBps. </p> <p>ANother problem may be with you site. If you use third party Applications than that might be problem as they have lot a javascript stuffed in so you need to remove those. (try using Google Gadgets as they load very quickly.</p> <p>Another problem is that to many posts are there on the homepage. Try to reduce them to somewhat 5 or 6 and then see the magic work. That's all! As you mentioned, you have a few scripts and 3rd party widgets. These may increase your page's load time. Optimize your images by reducing size/quality as your images are taking up the bulk of your loading time.
