If you could connect with a USB cable, won't a regular USB flash drive work to transfer your data? What OS is the Aptiva running? Win95? You'll need drivers for the flash drive then.

Is it capable of booting off a bootable CD / removable drive? THese options are normally found in the BIOS.

Hi,
I have 12 year old IBM Aptiva E-240 350mhz proccessor and 256 ram. It will recognize the a travledrive and mini harddrive but will not load a driver for them so I can save my files to them so . I tried to link the IBM with my present computer which has XP with a usb cable but if it is possible then there must be a correct way to do it with a usb cable than just the way I did it. The IBM won't even accept the CD Burner software so I cannot use that either.

Thank you,

TN
