Create a sub-domain abc.blog.com 2. Create a sub-directory blog.com/abc 3. Create a new web domain abc.com From the perspective of Search engines (especially Google) - sub-directories and sub-domains are one and the same thing. If you are very serious about that "new topic" - go with a new domain though it might require some effort to get visibility on Google but it will come if you are regular and write good content.
