One need to ENABLE Hindi (asian layout) support through Control Panel to able to edit documents in Unicode Hindi font like Mangal. Legacy Hindi fonts like Krutidev do not need this configuration. </p> <p>2. I think you need to install indic from XP Control Panel &gt;Regional and Language Options&gt;Languages&gt;Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including thai). And in the talk sometimes she uses Sanskrit and Hindi. Another collegue in India does the Sanskrit part, but he uses the Mangal font. Thus, the need to use the font.
