I have been using Google Chrome for a month, no problem. Last night I downloaded a Java update -- could that have affected my internet connection? Because today I cannot get on through google chrome or IE. Going to my old machine, I had no problem getting online with Mozilla.

This fixed it for me:

> I had the same Problem,
> I have Norton Internet Security installed and it was blocking the
> application. To Fix I did the following:
> 1. Opened Norton Internet Security
> 2. Clicked on Personal Firewall and clicked on Configure
> 3. Clicked on the Programs Tab and scrolled down to Chrome.exe (Mine
> said "Block All")
> 4. Changed it to say "Permit All"
> 5. Opened Chrome and it worked.
