Mostly Adsense publishers them selves don't click on ads.. And for junior publishers, its hard to get even a click per day..

If you ask me.. if i visit a big blog like labnol.. i'll probably click the ad if its appealling.. But if the same ad appears on not such a popular blog.. i will know that a click will give him money.. and i'll simply read the link and put it up in the adress bar and open it myself..

The Guru is right that we should get visitors first and than think of advertisment.. or else it just looks like your blogging for Money..

1. Only a very small percentage of visitors follow stuff via online readers. 80-90% of the traffic is via search engines so you get the point.

2. If you have less than 500 page views a day, it’s better to keep your blog ads free as the likelihood of making any “real” income is pretty low. Get readers first, make them addicted to your content and then think of advertising.

3. Regarding AdSense, it is possible that your blog is showing CPM ads where you get paid because of impressions and not clicks. Now if your blog is displaying an AdSense banner with 0.5$ CPM, 43 hits would translate into 0.0215 or 2 cents. Discount the invalid repeat impressions from your own visits and the rounding errors and this amount would translate to $0.

AM sent this question via email:

1. Initially, I would go to your site for viewing your daily articles, but slowly I moved to Google Reader, as that seemed more convenient. Now, on Google Reader, I do not see your advertisements. So, it looks like you do not benefit from this transaction. Could you kindly explain this? Many other sites I read on Google Reader only provide the "Title" of their article, and we need to visit the site to actually read the article, and therefore we make ad impressions as well.

2. I had started a blog a long time back, and seeing your blog, I got motivated to try and actually make my blog a useful service to the community. So, I changed the line of my articles from my thoughts and feelings to Movie reviews and my views on certain technologies. I hope to improve on my work so that I could become a professional blogger some day as well. I registered myself with Adsense, and have put up advertisements on my blog. I have also put up Google friend connect there. However, I haven't actively started marketing by blog nor putting up the best articles I have yet, because of the pressure at college, this being the final term at college for me.

3. While I have seen a video of yours which describes how Adsense is useful, I have not been able to understand how it works clearly yet. For example, I seem to have had 43 hits, and 26 odd clicks on ads ever since I started using Adsense. However, my earnings show zero. Despite researching I could not really figure out how this works, and what is going wrong for me. I would be extremely grateful if you could reply to my message and help me out.
